2D Animation — Learning Traditional Animation

2D Animation - Learning Traditional Animation is a workshop exploring how the core principles of hand-drawn animation can enhance comic art. Led by veteran Disney animator and director Robb Pratt, this session demonstrates how traditional animation techniques bring greater energy, expression and life to characters on the comic page.
Key points include understanding weight and movement, applying squash and stretch and gesture, and improving character performance for more dynamic storytelling. By the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to use animation fundamentals to create more engaging action poses, facial expressions and visual rhythm in their comics.
