The Artists Behind the Characters
Workshop · Day 1 · Thu 22 October 2026, 6:15 pm – 7:45 pm · Aljada, Sharjah
The Artists Behind the Characters is a workshop exploring how memorable characters are created for comics, animation, and games. Led by Elmegdad Salih, Creative Community & Content Manager, the session reveals how artists transform ideas into characters that resonate with audiences, drawing on examples from Pokémon to Freej.
Key points include the fundamentals of character design, the role of storytelling in making characters unforgettable, and hands-on guidance in creating an original character—no drawing experience required. By the end of this workshop, attendees will understand the creative process behind character development and leave with a character concept of their own.
