Abdulwareth Lahham

Abdulwareth Lahham is an independent director, animation artist, and illustrator with more than 20 years of experience in animation production, creative direction, character design, and visual storytelling. His work includes directing his own animated film and contributing to animated productions broadcast across the Middle East, including the award-winning series Al-Rahebeen.
Alongside his work in animation, Lahham has taught animation, game design, and visual arts in Istanbul. His practice also extends into comics, where he works across concept development, storytelling, character creation, and visual design.
At SACC, Lahham will bring this range of experience to sessions including “Wackier Motions - The Art of Extreme Breakdowns” and “One Story, Different Visions,” sharing insights into movement, storytelling, and translating ideas across different visual forms.
