Carlo Chiarotti

Composer & Conductor — Florence Pops Orchestra

Carlo Chiarotti is a composer and conductor, and the driving force behind the Florence Pops Orchestra. Since founding the ensemble in 2014, he has led a flexible group of professional musicians in performances that bring music from animation, anime, cinema and video games to life on stage.

Under Chiarotti’s direction, the Florence Pops Orchestra has performed repertoire ranging from Disney classics and Studio Ghibli works to anime, film scores and celebrated game music. With ensembles of up to 60 performers, the orchestra is known for turning familiar screen worlds into live orchestral experiences.

At SACC, Chiarotti will present “From Screen to Score - A Live Orchestral Demonstration,” offering audiences insight into how music from animated and screen-based storytelling is translated into a live performance setting.
