Dina Amin
Stop Motion Director / Artist — Tinker Land
Dina Amin is a stop motion director, artist, and inventor, and the founder of Tinker Land. Known for her inventive approach to animation, she has created stop motion work for clients including LEGO, YouTube, Laika, and Adult Swim.
Amin began developing her distinctive style through Tinker Friday, an Instagram series that combined product design, stop motion, and reflections on consumerism by revealing the hidden interiors of everyday discarded objects. Since then, she has continued to build a practice centered on making, animation, and visual storytelling through unexpected materials and processes.
At SACC, Amin will share insights from her sessions, Communication with Stop Motion and Where a Short Film Begins – Creative Sparks from Arab Women Directors, exploring how stop motion can become a powerful tool for storytelling and creative expression.
