Gus Vazquez
Artist
Gus Vazquez is an artist and illustrator whose work spans comics, animation, film, advertising, character design, and toy design. He is best known for his work with Marvel Comics, where he drew covers and interiors for Sunfire and Big Hero 6, helping introduce the characters later featured in Disney’s Oscar-winning Big Hero 6.
Over the course of his career, Vazquez has contributed to titles including Deadpool, X-Force, Spider-Man, What If? Civil War, What If? Back in Black, and The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe. His background also includes storyboarding for music videos and commercials, giving him experience across both publishing and screen-based visual storytelling.
At SACC, Vazquez will bring that wide-ranging illustration experience to The Cosplay Life Drawing Masterclass, offering attendees insight into drawing, character form, and the visual skills that connect comics, design, and performance.
