Hal Laren is a comic artist, concept designer and publisher known for founding Reaper Comics and for his work across comics, illustration and commercial design. His credits include comic and cover work connected to major franchises such as Transformers, TMNT, G.I. Joe, Vampirella, Robotech and RoboCop.
Working across 2D and 3D design, Laren bridges original IP creation with publishing and entertainment-focused visual development. Through Reaper Comics, he combines storytelling, illustration and independent publishing with design work for commercial projects.
At SACC, Laren will explore the path from comic art to collectibles, sharing insights into how illustrated worlds and characters can evolve across publishing, design and product-driven creative work.
