Irmak Atabek
Co-founder / CEO — KidsAI
Irmak Atabek is Co-founder and CEO of KidsAI, and a multidisciplinary media and entertainment professional with more than 15 years of experience in animation and children’s media. She also co-founded MakoKids, a woman-led children’s media and consultancy company developing content for international clients and NGOs.
Based in Nairobi, Atabek oversees MakoKids projects for the African market, including the preschool animation series Papa Hapo. Her work spans content development, production, and creative technology, with a current focus on building ethical and safe AI tools for children’s products through KidsAI.
At SACC, Atabek will speak in Raising the AI Generation, sharing insights into how AI can be developed responsibly for young audiences and what this means for the future of children’s media.
