Jihane Joypaul
Stop-Motion Director
Jihane Joypaul is a stop-motion director whose work explores human relationships, cultural identity, and the emotional worlds behind everyday life. Based in Morocco, she works across directing, production, editing, and animation, with a practice rooted in handcrafted storytelling.
She is currently directing Harun & Mamun, a stop-motion short produced by Artcoustic Studio and supported by international programmes and residencies including FICAM, MIFA Campus Talents, and NEF Animation. Joypaul is also developing her first feature film, La Maison des Anges, while contributing to the growth of Morocco’s animation industry through teaching.
At SACC, Joypaul will share insights from her session, From Short to Series / Feature - Making the Leap, drawing on her experience developing short and long-form stop-motion projects.
