Khaoula Zouine

Khaoula Zouine is a creative director, writer, and Managing Editor of Mt7rk, an independent platform dedicated to archiving, researching, and foregrounding animation practices across the Arab Worlds. Through her editorial work, she helps position animation as a space for political imagination, collective memory, and narrative reclamation.
She shapes Mt7rk’s editorial direction to reflect the diversity of animation across North Africa, the Levant, and the Gulf. Based between Casablanca and Marseille, she also founded the studio Common Courtesy, where she develops strategic storytelling and writing for cultural institutions, brands, and creators.
At SACC, Zouine brings a strong regional perspective to conversations around feature filmmaking, IP, student shorts, and creative development. Her sessions will offer insight into animation ecosystems in the Arab world and the different models shaping how stories are developed, produced, and shared.
