Kawtar Waddi, also known as Sanjaune, is a multidisciplinary artist and film director whose practice spans animation, sound documentary, and visual arts. Her work centers on the social and emotional complexities of how people relate to their surroundings.
Working across moving image and sound, Waddi brings an independent, cross-disciplinary approach to filmmaking. Her background in fine arts and curatorial studies informs a practice that moves between narrative, observation, and visual experimentation.
