Kawtar Waddi, also known as Sanjaune, is a multidisciplinary artist and film director working across animation, sound documentary, and visual arts. Her practice centers on the complexity of social relationships and the ways people interact with their environments.

Her work brings together moving image, sound, and visual storytelling, reflecting an independent approach to filmmaking and image-making. Alongside her creative practice, she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Curation in Brussels, expanding her engagement with contemporary visual culture.

At SACC, Waddi brings a cross-disciplinary perspective to independent animation filmmaking, offering insight into how animation can intersect with sound, documentary forms, and visual art to explore social experience.
