German Fernandez Cantos

German Fernandez is an artist and designer whose multidisciplinary practice spans drawing, painting, video and design. Based in Dubai, he is best known for solo exhibitions at FN Designs in Alserkal Avenue and for work that explores identity and belonging through a strong visual language.
His practice brings together fine art and visual and information design, with exhibitions across Peru, India and the UAE. Working across multiple mediums, Fernandez creates images and narratives that connect personal experience with broader cultural questions.
At SACC, Fernandez will lead The Image as a Map: A Collage Workshop in Visual Storytelling, sharing how collage and image-making can be used to shape meaning, build visual narratives and explore storytelling through composition.
