Terry Notary is an actor and movement coach known for his work in creature performance and performance capture across major film franchises. His credits include Avatar, the Planet of the Apes films as Rocket, The Hobbit trilogy, Kong: Skull Island, and Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame as Cull Obsidian.
Combining acting, stunt work, and highly specialized movement coaching, Notary has helped shape creatures and characters in some of cinema’s biggest fantasy and sci-fi worlds. His work has played an important role in how physical performance is translated into believable on-screen characters.
At SACC, he will share insights into creature performance and motion capture, drawing on his experience creating expressive physical performances for film and helping bring non-human characters to life.
