Hal Laren is a comic artist, concept designer and publisher best known as the founder of Reaper Comics. His work spans comics, cover art, illustration and 2D/3D design, with credits connected to major franchises including Transformers, TMNT, G.I. Joe, Vampirella, Robotech and RoboCop.

Through Reaper Comics, Laren combines original IP creation and independent publishing with commercial design and entertainment work. His multidisciplinary practice bridges character-driven storytelling, visual development and product-focused design.

At SACC, Laren will bring that cross-disciplinary perspective to From Idea to Vinyl Toy, sharing insights into how original concepts can move from illustration and design into collectible form.
