Irmak Atabek is Co-founder and CEO of KidsAI, where she leads the development of ethical and safe AI technologies for children’s products. She is also a multidisciplinary media and entertainment professional with more than 15 years of experience in animation and children’s media.

She co-founded MakoKids, a woman-led children’s media and consultancy company producing content for international clients and NGOs. Based in Nairobi, she has led projects for the African market, including the preschool animation series Papa Hapo, combining children’s storytelling expertise with production and creative development experience.

At SACC, Atabek brings a perspective shaped by both children’s animation and emerging technology, offering insights into how AI can be developed responsibly for young audiences and applied thoughtfully within children’s media.
