Khaoula Zouine is a creative director, writer, and Managing Editor of Mt7rk, an independent platform dedicated to archiving, researching, and foregrounding animation practices across the Arab Worlds. Through Mt7rk, she helps shape conversations around animation as both an artistic medium and a space for political imagination, collective memory, and narrative reclamation.

Based between Casablanca and Marseille, Zouine also founded the studio Common Courtesy, where she develops strategic storytelling and writing for cultural institutions, brands, and creators in the creative industries. Her work brings together editorial direction, cultural research, and storytelling across the region’s animation landscape.

At SACC, Zouine will contribute to conversations on feature filmmaking, regional production models, student shorts, and the creative starting points of short films by Arab women directors, offering perspectives on animation ecosystems across the Arab world.
