Shuzo John Shiota is CEO of Polygon Pictures, where he has led the studio since 2003 and helped expand its presence in international animation and content production. Under his leadership, Polygon has become known for developing TV series and projects for global audiences. Shiota is also a respected figure in the wider CG and animation community, having served as a judge at Prix Ars Electronica, SIGGRAPH, and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

His career spans studio leadership, production, and international industry engagement, including serving as conference chair for SIGGRAPH Asia 2021. He received a Special Achievement Award at the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2022 and a Hall of Fame Award from Animation Magazine in 2023.

At SACC, Shiota will share insights from more than 40 years of Polygon Pictures and discuss how to run a creative company, including five key principles for succeeding in the creative industry.
