Terry Notary is an actor, movement coach and stunt coordinator whose work has helped define creature performance and performance capture in contemporary filmmaking. He is best known for Avatar, the Planet of the Apes franchise, where he played Rocket, The Hobbit trilogy, Kong: Skull Island, and Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

Blending acting, stunt work and highly specialised movement coaching, Notary has helped create creatures and characters for some of cinema’s biggest fantasy and sci-fi worlds. His experience spans both performance and physical storytelling, making him a key figure in how non-human characters are brought to life on screen.
