Walaa Jamil Sindi is an animation director and academic whose work bridges creative practice, education, and industry development in Saudi Arabia. She has collaborated and trained with professionals from leading international animation institutions and studios, including Pixar, Blue Sky Studios, and Gobelins Paris.

As a founding member of a specialized Film Production and Animation program in Saudi Arabia, Sindi previously served as Program Director, helping shape its academic direction while supporting emerging Saudi talent and strengthening links between animation education and professional practice. Her work also includes cultural consultancy, professional training, and participation in local and international juries and creative initiatives.

At SACC, Sindi brings valuable insight into animation’s future through her work developing talent, advancing animation education, and championing culturally rooted visual storytelling within the regional and international creative landscape.
