Guy Gilchrist is a cartoonist, illustrator and author best known as “Jim Henson’s Cartoonist.” He created The Muppets newspaper comic strip and became a key creative voice across beloved character-driven properties including Muppet Babies, Fraggle Rock and Nancy.

Over a career spanning decades, Gilchrist has worked across Henson, Disney and classic animated franchises, with credits connected to TMNT, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry and other iconic characters. His work bridges comics, illustration and character storytelling, with a long-running ability to adapt established worlds for new audiences.

At SACC, Gilchrist brings that experience to a special cartooning and character workshop, where attendees can gain insight into creating memorable characters and working with some of animation and entertainment’s most recognizable properties.
